Woman Grandmaster Bodda Pratyusha
Woman Grandmaster Bodda Pratyusha, born on April 11, 1997, in Tuni, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India, is a distinguished Indian chess player who achieved the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in 2020.
She became the third Telugu woman to earn this prestigious title, following in the footsteps of Koneru Humpy and Dronavalli Harika.
In 2012, she clinched the Indian Girls’ Under-17 Championship, showcasing her early promise in the sport. By April 2015, she earned the Woman International Master (WIM) title.
- 2020: Earned WGM title at Gibraltar Open Chess Tournament.
- 2019: 4th place in National Women Chess Championship.
- 2018: 1st place in Senta Open Chess and Thessaloniki Open.
- 2017: Winner at Grandmaster Chess Tournament, Bhopal.
She also represented India in the Women’s Chess Olympiad and continues inspiring young chess players through coaching and mentorship.
